Grand Avenue’s unmistakable concert hall
Walt Disney Concert Hall is both a music destination and an architectural landmark. Designed by Frank Gehry, its sweeping stainless-steel exterior gives Grand Avenue a distinctive silhouette. Inside, the wood-lined main auditorium provides the setting for performances by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and other musical programs.
Two ways to experience the hall
An architecture-focused visit and a concert evening offer different experiences of the same place. From the street, take time to notice how the curved surfaces change with the light. For a performance, allow room in your plans to settle in before the music begins.
Check the right visitor information
Use the LA Phil’s official site to select a performance or confirm current tour and visitor options. A concert ticket does not necessarily include every area of the venue, and an exterior visit does not provide access to the auditorium. Check garden access, opening times, and any tour arrangements before you travel.
A place to visit. A neighborhood to understand.
If you are exploring Downtown Los Angeles as a place to live, make a second visit around an ordinary weekday. Think about the route to work, the places you would use regularly, and how a building’s surroundings fit your routine. An attraction can introduce an area; spending time nearby helps you decide what matters in a home search.
Visitor information and background: Los Angeles Philharmonic . Check with the attraction for current hours, admission, and access before visiting.
